Advanced Vinyl Sealing Tape

“Engineered for Stronger Vinyl Floors.”

FuseMax® 2.0 — Advanced Vinyl Seam Tape

FuseMax® 2.0 is a patented (USA and Canada), next-generation, professional-grade vinyl seam tape engineered to float residential sheet vinyl installations from all major manufacturers.

Featuring a proprietary heavy-duty adhesive system and a precision-aligned silicone centre, FuseMax® 2.0 ensures accurate placement beneath the seam while delivering superior chemical and detergent resistance. This advanced design allows seams to be heat welded or chemically welded on the same day of installation.

With an integrated fluoro-silicone release liner for easy handling and controlled application, FuseMax® 2.0 delivers exceptional seam strength, long-term durability, and reliable moisture protection for high-performance vinyl flooring systems.

Why Choose FuseMax® 2.0

Traditional seam sealing methods can be inconsistent, time-consuming, and prone to failure. FuseMax® 2.0 provides a modern, engineered alternative that improves installation accuracy, reduces risk, and strengthens the most vulnerable point of sheet vinyl systems—the seam.

By reinforcing seams from below, FuseMax® 2.0 helps protect flooring, substrates, and long-term investments while minimizing callbacks and warranty exposure.

TrimMax® Pro Series — How does it work?

Surface Preparation:

Ensure both wall and floor edges are clean, dry, and free of dust, paint overspray, or
debris. Walls must be painted or primed to ensure proper adhesion.

Tools & Materials:

  • TrimMax Pro Series perimeter tape

  • Utility knife or shears

  • J-roller or hand roller

  • Tape measure and pencil

  • Clean cloth or shop vac

  • Baseboard or quarter round and fasteners (optional)

* Installation Notes:

  • Apply at temperatures between 50–95°F (10–35°C).

  • Do not install on damp or dusty surfaces.

  • For long runs, install in continuous lengths without stretching.

  • Overlap at corners or transitions to maintain a full perimeter seal.

Step 1 — Ensure Drywall Is Painted or Primed

Before installation, confirm the drywall is painted or primed and the subfloor or underlayment (e.g., OSB) is clean, dry, and free from debris or construction dust. Do not apply TrimMax Pro Series directly to raw or unsealed drywall. Vacuum or wipe the perimeter area to remove fine dust before taping.

Step 2 — Install Flooring with Expansion Gap

Lay the flooring planks or tiles, maintaining a consistent 3/16" (≈ 5 mm) expansion gap between the flooring and the wall. Ensure the floor is flat and clean before sealing. Do not fill the gap with any material; this area will be covered and sealed in the next step.

Step 3 — Apply TrimMax Pro Series Along the Perimeter

TrimMax Pro Series is self-wound — there is no liner. Starting in a corner, position the white silicone center so it bridges the junction between flooring and wall. Adhere the floor leg first, pressing firmly along the flooring edge. Then press the wall leg up onto the painted or primed surface. Roll firmly to ensure full contact and a smooth, continuous seal. At corners, overlap 1–2 in (25–50 mm) or miter for a clean joint.

Step 4 — Install Baseboard or Quarter Round

Place the baseboard or quarter round directly over the sealed joint. Fasten it securely to the wall or studs — do not fasten through the tape. Confirm that the tape is fully concealed and the white center remains sealed behind the trim.

Step 5 — Completed Installation

The finished result should appear seamless, clean, and professionally sealed. TrimMax Pro Series forms a watertight and chemical-resistant barrier, protecting against water, detergents, and urine from wicking behind trim or into wall cavities. No additional caulking is required along the floor line.
