Can FloatMax Tape be used with every vinyl floor?
Floatmaxtape has been tested and can be used with the following products.

Can I heat weld a seam with FloatMax Tape?
If the vinyl you are installing complies with our list of manufacturers then yes it can be heat welded.

Can I chemically weld a seam with FloatMax Tape?
If the vinyl that you are installing comes with a chemical weld option then yes.

Can FloatMax Tape be used over any existing floor?
If the vinyl you are installing complies with our list of manufacturers then yes it can be heat welded.

Can FloatMax Tape resist water?
Yes, Floatmaxtape has a RH (relative humidity) value of 94% (See Technical Specs)

Can FloatMax Tape be installed over a newly poured concrete slab?
The concrete slab must have aerated for at least one week to alleviate most of the humidity prior to installing any vinyl flooring so that the vinyl does not expand too quickly right after install causing pressure against the walls or transitions.
Can I install vinyl with FloatMax Tape over and existing ceramic flooring?
Yes, you will need to skim coat the ceramic first to prevent telegraphing.
Can I install vinyl with Floatmaxtape over plywood or OSB?
Yes, you will need to make sure the substrate is smooth to prevent telegraphing.
